Are You Better Off Than You Were Two Years Ago?

Dear Winfield Residents,

The residents of the Village of Winfield (VOW) have much to be concerned about. For more than a year, the Village residents have had to tolerate some Trustees’ secrecy and “backroom deals.” In addition, the elimination and outsourcing of our police department is being considered, the rezoning of neighborhoods is underway, and, in November, we will be asked to approve a property tax increase to fund our Village services. Are we better off than we were two years ago?

Now is time to take our Village back! We need four residents who are willing to lead and who are willing to “step up to the plate.” The deadline to file petitions to run for Village office is December 1. If you are a Village resident who wants to keep Winfield a great place to live and to raise a family, then please consider running in the next election, which will be held on April 9, 2013. Candidates should plan to complete their petitions and file their paperwork before November 22 (Thanksgiving Day).

For more information or assistance, please contact Jed Skillman at WinfieldUnitedInfo@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Rhonda Peebles, Board Member
